- Build up our presence
Using Social Media, Mobile Marketing, and old fashioned flyers, we plan on spreading the word and starting the conversation. Facebook, Twitter, and this website will be utilized to rally people to the cause. Additionally, we will also have an email list with quarterly updates.
- Go town-by-town to make the case
Inspired by the change in government within Vernon, NJ, our group will be going town-by-town to make the case, collect signatures for a petition, and present the facts in open forums and town council meetings.
- Attend public board meetings for New Jersey Transit, the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority, etc.
To keep the subject at the forefront, volunteers need to keep pushing the appropriate authorities to pursue the project. By attending planning and board meetings of the entities involved, we intend on keeping the subject at the forefront of planning within the appropriate authorities.
- Letter writing campaign
For those who cannot make it out to sign the petition, letters will be available to send to the appropriate individuals either by email or postal mail.
- Media
From editorials to written articles, the goal of media and public relations is to evoke a discussion. We plan on reaching out through media outlets and starting discussions with the community.
