- The Passaic-Bergen project involved the restoration of passenger rail service originally established in the 1930s. It is within the NYS&W-owned and operated freight rail corridor between Route 208 in Hawthorne and River Street in Hackensack. This bi-county alignment is approximately ten miles, traversing six urbanized municipalities. Commuters are expected to travel between stations along the project alignment or transfer to existing Main Line and Bergen Line trains to reach Hoboken and Manhatta
